This three-hour workshop is designed for Pilates instructors who want to deepen their observation skills, improve cueing, and create more adaptive, individualized programming through movement-informed teaching.
Drawing inspiration from Laban Movement Analysis and Bartenieff Fundamentals, this workshop explores how movement quality, effort, coordination, and support influence the way clients move within the Pilates method.
Participants will move beyond simply teaching exercises and begin observing how clients organize movement, respond to cueing, and express different movement strategies. Through guided movement exploration, Pilates application, and real-world teaching examples, instructors will develop a richer understanding of movement variability and embodied teaching.
This workshop is educational in nature and designed to support professional development within the scope of Pilates instruction and movement education.
This workshop also serves as an introduction to a deeper mentorship experience focused on movement observation, embodied programming, teaching refinement, and professional integration for Pilates instructors seeking advanced development in movement-informed teaching.
Eligible for NPCP continuing education credits.
