Continuing Education for Intentional Pilates Professionals

NCPT-Approved Workshops

Explore evidence-informed continuing education workshops designed to strengthen movement observation, movement analysis, and confident teaching.

Create Classes Clients Rearrange Their Schedules For

Teach in a way clients remember—and return for.

Exceptional Pilates classes are about far more than exercise selection. They’re shaped by the instructor’s presence, communication, observation, and ability to create an experience where clients feel seen, successful, connected, and eager to return.

This NCPT-approved workshop explores the psychology, communication, and leadership skills that distinguish memorable instructors from those who simply lead workouts. Participants will learn practical strategies for reading the room, managing group dynamics, building trust, cueing with clarity, and creating an environment where clients feel confident, connected, and engaged.

Drawing from years of teaching, movement education, and instructor mentorship, this workshop provides immediately applicable tools that strengthen instructor presence, improve client retention, and help create Pilates classes people genuinely rearrange their schedules to attend.

Beyond Exercises: Seeing Movement Differently.

Teach in a way clients remember—and return for.

Exceptional Pilates instructors don't simply recognize exercises-they recognize movement. This NCPT-approved workshop introduces a practical framework for observing movement, identifying compensatory patterns, and making thoughtful teaching decisions that improve movement quality. Participants learn to see beyond choreography and develop a deeper understanding of how movement informs instruction.

Drawing from developmental movement, biomechanics, motor learning, and contemporary Pilates practice, participants will strengthen movement observation, movement analysis, and instructional decision-making. The result is greater confidence in adapting exercises, individualizing instruction, and creating meaningful movement experiences for every client.

Matthew’s work is grounded in thoughtful movement education, science-based exercise, adaptive programming, and sustainable teaching practices that support long-term growth for both instructors and clients.

My Teaching Philosophy

I don’t believe exceptional teaching begins with choosing the perfect exercise.

It begins with learning to truly see the person in front of you.

Everything I teach—from movement observation to communication to class design—is intended to help instructors create experiences that clients remember long after the session ends.
